    Posted: 04 Aug 2009 at 6:40am
Hi

I want to use the URL to open a crystal report from BO XI R2.

Like

http://admin14:8080/businessobjects/enterprise115/admin/en/go.jviewer?id=3220&relogon=WCSLOGONTOKEN&nologon=viewerlogonform.csp

will open a report.

i want to pass the parameter included in the report in the URL
so that the report is filtered with that parameters.

Waiting for the responses
Thanks in advance.Smile

You can append &lsS and the parameter value along with your url.

Eg: if the parameter that you have in your report is @param1, then the url will be

More parameters can be appended in a similar way

The URL that you have to use is given below

http://admin14:8080/businessobjects/enterprise115/desktoplaunch/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?&iDocID=3220&lsSparam1=value1

where
&lsS should be appended to your paramter; param1 is your parameter
value1 is the value that you want to pass to param1

The url only works if your current report id is 3220. You can find this by previewing the report from the url. Replace the number with your current report id.

http://admin14:8080/businessobjects/enterprise115/desktoplaunch/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?&iDocID=3220&lsSP_VENDOR=MAASDAN

The URL redirects me to the login page of the infoview

http://admin14:8080/businessobjects/enterprise115/desktoplaunch/InfoView/logon/logon.do

so i need to pass the application credentials in the URL...?

it asked for database credentials

then throws the following error:

Error
A request was cancelled. The necessary security privileges could not be verified. This indicates a problem with the security server.

Hi BrainSoup

I have resolved my issue.

Heres the solution....I used the following URL..

http://admin14:8080/businessobjects/enterprise115/desktoplaunch/opendoc/openDocument.jsp?&iDocID=4150&sType=rpt&sRefresh=Y&lsSP_VENDOR=VERMETREIC

It opens the report filtered with the passed parameter value.

Thankyou for your responseSmile

Hi Snehalatha,

I'm facing a similiar problem. I'm using the following URL for opening the crystal report with parameters :

The problem is it is passing the parameters but I get an interim prompt screen with the filled values. Once I press execute, it goes ahead and displays the proper report.

Did you face similiar problem??? How did you resolve ??

Additionally, can you pls elaborate "businessobjects/enterprise115/desktoplaunch/" stands for in ur mentioned url.

Thankx a ton in advance.
