    Posted: 01 Jun 2009 at 4:05am

I get the following error when trying to print a pdf file from a crystal report:

'Adobe Reader could not open "Acr1E.tmp" as the file type is not supported or the file is damaged (for example if it was send as an email attachment and was not decoded correcttly).'

Any suugestions what the reason can be. I have googled this but the only answer i can find useful is unistalling the present version of adobe and reinstalling with version 9. Can this be the real reason? I need to report to our business client asap. dont want them installing adobe and still the same error. I cannot replicate this in my machine.

Save the file withouth the extension. As you mentioned the file name "Acr1E.tmp" , may be adobe does not recognize .tmp instead u can give .pdf
