Quote Gyto Replybullet Topic: DLL error when running report
    Posted: 09 Oct 2008 at 5:35am
Hi there,

I am having problems running a report which was previously ok on an old computer, despite having the same version on Crystal installed as before.  I get the error message:

"UFL 'u2lentrp.dll' that implements this function is missing".

The function it's saying it's trying to run is:

"entconvertdate({Transactions.thTransDate})"

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Matt

u2lentrp.dll is a User Function Library (that's what UFL means.)  UFL's generally don't come with Crystal, they're either created by the report designer (or someone at the same company) or they're installed by third-party software.

You need to find a copy of u2lentrp.dll and install it on your computer.  If it's a .NET .dll, it will have to be registered in the Global Assembly Cache.  If its a COM .dll there is a specific place you have to copy it to - I don't remember where, so I'm still researching it.

Ok thanks,  although I can't find any references anywhere to that DLL file.....is it possible that rewriting the report would solve the problem?  I can't see that any of the calculations it is making are out of the ordinary....

hmm...interestingly I have found the DLL file that it says is missing on my computer.  It is located in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Crystal Decisions\2.0\bin, but it obviously can't find it....any ideas?

Copy the file to Program Files\Business Objects\Common\3.5\Bin and try again.
