Do you mean Parameter values,as  Prompts are just elements that help users set a value for report parameters...
 
When you create a parameter ,you can view that using Field Explorer ..
 
Menu--> View---> Field Explorer then below ,[? ]Parameters Fields Node you can see the parameter you have created ,just drag and drop that parameter on the section you want to ...

thanks rahul but my requirement is we need to group based on the prompt value,on selecting group expert iam not able to view the parameters created.

Hi ,
 
Yes you will not see the parameters in Group expert,what you need to do is Create Group on which you will create parameter .Then Create Parameter on same Group Field .
 
once that is done place the parameter in the report then
 
Go to Report Menu --->Selection formulas--> select Group ,Then you can see the parameter that you have created.
 
enter for {table.fieldname}={?parameter}
