Hi,

I'm new to Crystal, using Crystal Reports XI.  This is probably easy to do, but I have not figured it out yet.  I would appreciate any help.

MySQL Database schema
cost center
model
serial
type

What I need to be able to do is create a report that counts the type for each cost center.  There could be many types in the table (ie. desktop, laptop, monitor, printer, etc.)  The only thing I want to count is the laptop and desktop types.  So the end report should look something like this:

Cost Center      Laptop Count      Desktop Count
1234                  10                        25
1123                  2                          12

Can anyone give me some pointers or examples how to do this?

Thanks,
David

Hi,

You can use record selection to filter out the records by type or costcenter if it will be same always, where type like Laptop or Desktop if you want get the count and display only laptop and desktop details.

Thanks
