I have a really strange thing happening in my report. I have a big group of staple information in the group header and when the information pushed past a single page then it repeats itself three times. I have shortened the information and everything works. Unfortunately it can't stay shortened (lawyers say all the legal stuff is required).

Anyone know what could be causing the the repeating?

Version : Crystal 2008
Two Groups (Project ID / Contract ID)
Details: Schedule of Values (sample contract had 8 line items and there are 20 contracts in the database so neither of those is causing the header to repeat three times)

I am just plain flummoxed.

Does it need to be in the report header? Is it more of a page header?

If it has to stay in the group header, here's a couple of things you can try:

1. Make sure that "Repeat Group Header on Every Page" is turned off for the group. If you can't do that, see below.

2. Make sure that "Keep Group Together" and "Keep Section Together" are turned off for the group header section(s).

3. Split the group header section up into multiple sections - no more than will fit on a page for each section.

4. If you have part of the group header data that needs to repeat on the next page if the data extends to another page, leave "Repeat Group Header on Every Page" turned on. Then go to the group header sections that do NOT need to repeat and enter the following into the Suppress formula for each:

InRepeatedGroupHeader

DO NOT click the Suppress check box - just use the suppress formula.
