I have a report with 3 tables, that I have carefully linked. When I go back to the database expert to pull in a 4th table that I realize I need, it automatically redoes the links, sometimes in really wacky ways and I have to recreate my previous work (in addition to linking in the new table). How can I keep the original links? p.s. this is point and click not SQL.

not sure about how this handles existing report changes vs. building a new report but maybe turning off 'automatic smart linking'?

File>Options
Database tab

Hi, I'm not seeing this option when I go to File > Options and then the Database tab. I don't see it in any of the other tabs either. I am on version 10.0.0.533. Thanks!

I am pretty sure the option is in that version.
You may have to look around in the settings.
In XI it is in the location that I mentioned as a check box selection option.
