    Posted: 28 Aug 2014 at 9:51am

I have created an employee summary statement for a particular department in our organization. There are approximately 800 employees in the group that will get a statement. The statement on average is two pages per employee. There is multiple group headers/footers in the report. Under Selection Expert I set the last group footer to the following:

Common tab: Print at Bottom of Page - checked
Paging tab:  Reset Page Number After - checked
                   New Page After - checked

When I insert the page number field, it assigns page number 1 to the second page of the document. In other orders, if the employee has two pages,
page one has no number and page two is numbered page 1.

I tried move the page number to other sections, but still not getting the desired results.

Is there a formula or something that can be used to get the system to number the pages like so...

Page 1 of 2, Page 2 of 2 (so it changs when each unqiue employee id changes or the print job reaches the last group footer for that employee.

I hope I did a proper job of explaining the situation :).

Any help is greatly appreciated.

In the section expert select Gf1
set the 'reset page number after' as true

That makes sense. I must still be doing something wrong though...when I added the page number group footer #1 Page N of M, I get no number on the first page, then I get Page 1 of 2 on the second page.

If you add the page number to the page footer does it work?

No, the page number doesn't print at all.
