Hello Crystal Report Gurus,

Could you help me with the below Scenario and how it is achievable. I am currently working on CR 2013 version.

My Present Report is a Top N report and is sorted in DEsc on AMount

Item Category Amount
1 A 1450
10 B 1200
3 C 1150
1 D 900
5 E 700

and i want to transform it to:

Item Category Amount
1 A 1450
D 900
10 B 1200
3 C 1150
5 E 700

Basically i want to Club the Item if they belong to 2 different categories. For now i have a Group by Segment.

I have tried to insert a group on Item and it shows the first 2 rows as required, but the whole table is getting sorted by the Item column which should not happen. I know that if we insert a Group the Sorting is automatically considered and cannot be avoided.

Could you please let me know how is this possible in CR.

Thanks
Sid

while i haven't done it, there is the option to sort on a formula...so if you can come up with a formula that sorts the results correctly (or takes the correct logic into account) it should work.
