Quote brainsoup Replybullet Topic: Display of negative amounts
    Posted: 20 May 2010 at 12:08am
Hi,

I am having a crystal report to which I pass all the parameters as string. A few of these parameters are amount values to be displayed. If the amount is a negative value like -23.04, it is being displayed in the report as "23.04-"

The minus sign is getting suffixed instead of being prefixed.
The report has Unicode Characters and the font I am using is 'Arial Unicode MS'. I have tried different font combinations such as Arial, Times new roman etc.., but doesn't seem to work.

Is there any workaround/solution to solve this problem?

TIA

I think it's not about the font. But it's the properties for the field in CR.

Try this:
- right click the field
- click on 'Format Field'
- (make sure Tab 'Number' is selected)
- click 'Customize...'
- change the 'Negatives:' sign / format
- done...

hope it help

Hi Emir,
I don't have the number Tab displayed since I am passing the amount field as a string parameter.

The field displays properly when all the controls in the page are English. The same report with the literals in Arabic, it is having this problem

oops..

i've created a test report with 1 parameter (string).
and i create a formula (xx) as follow:
tonumber({parameter_var})

and follow my previous post.

in this stage you'll find Number tab.

hope it help.
