I am working on a line chart for Crystal 10 and am having problems formatting.  The following is what I am trying to do.  The data labels across the X axis are fairly long.  I would like to display them vertically instead of horizontally.  Also, I need to place a title along the Y axis.  Finally, I need to put the mean and standard deviations on the graph.  The only way I have figured out how to do this is to calculate it as a formula and then to graph the formula.  This works ok except for when I display the legend.  Since it is a formula, it shows @mean instead of just mean.  Is there any way around this?  If anyone knows how to do any of the above, I would greatly appreciate the help.

1) In designer mode, click on the datalabels. right-menu FORMAT and choose FONT ORIENTATION and set it to 90 or 270.

2) In Chart Editor, go to TITLES tab and then Y-Axis title section and type in your y-axis title string.

3) Select the series of data you're interested in. Then right-menu SERIES OPTIONS. THen select TRENDLINES. THen select EMAN or Std. Deviation options.

I am using Visual Studio 2005.  The only options I have to edit the chart is the Chart Expert.  I am having problems finding the places to make the changes suggested.  How do I select the datalabels and the series?

Ohh.

You need to have a "real" copy of CR to do what I describe (like CR developer, or CR advanced).  The "stripped down" version of CR that comes with VS2005 doesn't do this.

I have the full version of CR 10.  I am just opening it in VS2005.
