Hi everyone.  I have a quick question about Crystal functionality.  I hope I'm posting in the right forum.

Anyways I'm fairly new to Crystal Reports but have done some report design/development using Business Objects Web and Desktop Intelligence.  Web and Desktop Intelligence reports have a functionality called "Tabs" that allows you to create different reports from a common data source.  Think of it the same way Excel has tabs.  Each tab has a different view of the data but each tab is contained on one Excel file.

I'm trying to see if a similar functionality is available in Crystal but haven't been able to find anything.  Is this possible in Crystal or are "tabs" considered to be seperate reports?

Thanks in advance for any help!  Loved the book by the way.

No, this functionality is not available in Crystal.  There are, however, some ways that you can get around this by using subreports - either as a regular part of the main report so that they automatically appear or configured ad On Demand so that they appear in a separate tab in the viewer when the user clicks on a link.

Thank you Dell for the quick response.

I'll look more into Subreports and see if this is an acceptable alternative for my client.

Thanks again.
