Hello,

We have a Crystal Report that runs in 8 minutes that takes 2 1/2 hours to export to Excel.  We feel we must be doing something wrong or we have a configuration issue.

Has anyone else experienced such problems, and if so, what is your recommedation for solving the problem?

how large is the data set being returned?  I believe the crystal client needs to store the data in memory before being returned.

It is a large amount of data.  Approximately 21,000 rows by 18 columns.

The report shows on the screen quickly, 8 minutes. What we don't understand is why should memory cause the export to Excel to take 150 minutes ( 2/12 hours).

Thanks for your help.

Alan
