Hi,
 
Can crystal reports auto size the column widths to fit content and then auto scale the report up or down to fit the page size when rendered / printed?

Unfortunately, no for the column size, although when you turn on "Can Grow" data in columns will wrap to additional lines.  Scaling to the paper size happens when the paper size is changed in the Page Setup for the report.
