I have created two fields, one is @unit which is the first two positions of another field from the DB and the other is @unack which is = to Unacknowledge if = blanks and blanks if valued. I have verified that both fields contain what I want them to.

My problem is when using the Select Expert. I start the formula with @unit <> "  " and I test and get what I want. Then I add to the formual with and @unack = "Unacknowledge" and I get nothing, which I have already verified I should have data.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I am not sure what your data is so do you need this to be an AND statement or an OR statement.
Try just using @unack = "Unacknowledge" to see if that works by itself.
If is does then the AND is the part that is messing your query up because no rows have both conditions.
