I have a line of code in a formula:

if Sum ({@OCount}, {htdtbl.htddatetime}, "by second") <> 0 then

I try to print a report and CR tells me that 'Error: there must be a group that matches this field' and highlights this line. I assume this means that I need to group on 'htdtbl.htddatetime'. I am grouping on two groups, one for htdtbl.htddatetime and one for something else so I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. Could I be missing something obvious?
