I've recently started a new job as a personal assistant, and I've been thrown in Crystal Reports.  I have absolutely no programming experience.  I feel like I've been doing a pretty decent job getting into the program, but unfortunately, I'm a total noob when it comes to the very basic things.

 
I need to add a new field ... I'm working on a physician's superbill, and I need to add the Primary Care Physician to one of the details.  Adding the text object is easy, but I don't know how to insert a field that will input the info after the report is exported to a scheduling program.  If anyone knows what I'm talking about and can help, please do!  I've attempted to read through a couple chapters, but like I said, I have absolutely no programming xp.  Thanks so much for your help!

I'm using version X.  Is that what you mean by front end?

My question:

How do I make a field that will automatically fill in information after the report has been exported?

For example, there is a field that inputs the patient's name each time the report is used.  For each separate report, there is another name and different information.  The report I'm modifying was already set up when I got the job so I'm not sure how to do this.

I hope I'm being a bit more clear with this.  It's hard to communicate when you don't know the technical terms.  Thank you so much for your help!

I'm very confused. After the report is exported, it's not part of Crystal Reports anymore and the data is final. Are you talking about adding parameters and then each time you refresh the report the parameter prompts you for the input data again?
