I have an invoice report that has it grouped by purchase order.  There can be many purchase orders on one invoice.

I would like to have one group header for the first instance of the group result set (the first PO), but a pared down one for all the others after.

I have been following another thread on here, but I can't quite get it to work and I'm not sure why.  Maybe my situation is slightly different.

Make your two group headers. For the section for the first instance, set the suppress formula to
not OnFirstRecord
and set the suppress formula of the pared down header to
OnFirstRecord
