I've been using crystal for a while but cannot seem to find a solution for this (am pretty sure its not doable but no harm in asking).

I want to show the column grand totals as the SUM of the numbers in the crosstabl; however, want to show the row grand totals as the AVERAGE of the numbers. Any dice? Thanks.

Hi

Yes you are right.  It is not possible because, in cross tab once you insert any field on Rows or Columns it create groups and groups will always shows aggregated values.

In crystal you can't use two aggregate functions at a time.   The row / column totals should either sum() or Average().

Well, for my purpose, the weighted average seemed to fix this issue.
