I am trying to figure out the formula for summing some consolidation accounts from Businessworks Gold 2011 (BWG). I have the http://www.access-programmers.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=206146# - 400000.000
419999.000
430000.000

The Table for "GLAccount" has the fields of "GLAccountNumber" and "Description" that show all the account numbers from the Chart of Accounts an a description of what that account number is for. When I drop those fields onto the report, I can see the accounts listed that I want to sum. I don't want to sum the account numbers obviously, rather, the dollar amounts that are listed for those account numbers.

These accounts are consolidation accounts inside BWG and as I understand it, they total several separate accounts to come to a "grand total" for those accounts.
I want to place the sum in the report footer.

How do I create a formula to sum all these values?

TIA;

1) Select the field you want to summarize
2) Go to Insert
3) Select Summary
4) Choose 'Summary Location' you'd like to see the summary field (your case,don't chose anything, and press OK)

Hope this helps!!
