We have Crystal 10 for our Abra Sage product and when we were on Crystal 8.5 the export to excel handled the negative number sign and imported it into excel.  Now that we have upgrade to crystal 10 the negative number sign does not export into excel only the number.  How do we get the report to export to excel with the negative number sign along with the number

sorry if late to answer.

you can check the properties for the field.
- right click the field
- choose 'Format Field...'
- click 'Customize...'

in here make sure for:
- Negatives:
- Reverse Sign for Display

and try to re-export it again.

hope it help.

It was set up properly on the report and the report prints out fine with the negative number sign.  It is when we try to export it to excel it will not display the negative sign.  It was working in 8.5 but not crystal 10.
We can't seem to export the report as a csv either--it has blank information on the download file. No error messages just blank data

i'm using CR XI and MS Office 2007 enterprise.
i'm able to export to excel normally and see my negative amount.

when you export it to excel there are some options there.
1. ms-excel 97-2000 (xls), and
2. ms-excel 97-2000 - data only (xls)

have you try both options?

if you select for option 2, there are additional options on next steps.
one of it is check-box for "export object formatting".

i've tried to check and un-check it, it work fine. i'm able to see the negative sign on my excel.
