    Posted: 18 Dec 2009 at 11:36am
Hi Everyone,

I am trying to connect to a new OLE DB that isn't listed as an option under the Log on Server dialog box.

We installed CR 10 in a test environment and found this option, but we are now in a production environment and cannot see the same option.

I brought over the .dll file from the test environment in hopes that it would help me to connect, but I still do not see the option listed. (By the way the database is an ihistorian database which Crystal is the reporting tool of choice in many installations.

Do I have to install other files? Or do I have to install the .dll file in another directory. I need to get this thing to connect

Thanks for any help.

Has the client for the ihistorian database been installed on the the production server, including the OLE DB driver?  I suspect that's where your problem is.
