Can anyone please tell me if there a way to generate a combination chart (line and a bar for example in a single chart) using crystal reports 2008?

Hi princy,

Follow the steps below to generate a combination chart.

1: Insert a chart

2: Use dual Y-axis that is in the data tab of chart expert use two columns in the show values section and use one column value for the X-axis that is in the on change of section in thedata tab.(for ex in my graph am using : count of orgid, count of labor code for Y-axis and status for X-axis )

3: To change the chart to a dual Y axis, right-click anywhere in the chart and choose Chart Options and then the Axes tab. Click on the Dual Axes box, ensure the Split Dual Axis check box is not checked for this exercise, and then click OK.

4: Navigate to the Legends tab in the Chart Options menu and change the Color Mode to Color by Series. Next, click any of the individual Total Sales bars to select it , and then right-click the bar and select Chart Options, Series. Change the list box from Default for Chart Type to Line and click OK to close.

5: Save the report.
