Hello guys! How can I display fields that instead of being populated from top to bottom, records will be populated from left to right then continue to the next row until it displayed all the records? I just want to design a report that will display name, age & picture of employees in a way that each data will be placed from left, then middle, then right, then to the next row doing the same manner (3 colums per row). Hope you get what I'm poiting out. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance! Smile -- Meigz

Hi Meigz,

Right-click on the Details section and select Section Expert. On the right-hand side, find the option "Format with MUltiple Columns" and click it. This creates a new tab called "Layout". Click on it and you can select the option "Across then Down". You also have to tell it how wide you want each detail section to be so that you can fit the appropriate number of records on each line. This should do it for you.

I have tips and tricks like this documented in Chapter 8, "Advanced Formatting Techniques" in my Encyclopedia book.  You can find out more about my books at Amazon.com or reading the Crystal Reports eBooks online.

Thanks for the reply, BrianBischof! I'll try that method when I go home. Smile
