I am working in a medical field and essentially what I am trying to do is to tell the report that a specific specimen can only have one CPTcode that is 88305, more importantly one fee.

There are cases and within each case there can be multiple specimens. When a CPT code of 88305 is assigned it calls a fee. there is a problem that results in an additional 88305 being called sometimes and I would like to be so that when more than one 88305 CPT code is assigned per specimen that only one fee will be assessed.

I already have a case number group and I was thinking some kind of formula or rule that either says there can only be one 88305 fee per specimen or something that analyzes the cpt codes per specimen and if more than one 88305 specimen is found then make the fee for additional ones zero

Cases, specimens, cptcode and fee would be the variables i'm working with.

to be clear there are situations where more than one fee is assessed to a specimen but never a scenario where two 88305 fees would be.

thanks in advance for your help
